Versailles High School student, sophomore, Mylee Welch, is working hard to build community and bring a U-Pick Community Garden to the Morgan County R-II School District and community. The Versailles Future Farmers of America (FFA) students and advisors will be assisting her with this project by helping to organize the garden.
On Thursday, May 8, a silent auction will be held in the Versailles High School Cafeteria to help raise funds for supplies to get the garden started. The Versailles High School and Middle School bands will also be having a concert in the Versailles High School Jeffery B. Carter Performing Arts Center (PAC) at 6:00 p.m.
Come take part in the silent auction and then enjoy the band concert after putting in your bids for some great items! It will be a great evening to come out and support Mylee's project, our FFA students, the community garden's start, and the VHS/VMS bands. Mylee is demonstrating what it means to be a Versailles Tiger, let's support her and this community garden that will eventually be a benefit to so many. We hope to see you on May 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria for the silent auction!
